3 Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukharjee Samman, 2019 Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukharjee Samman, 2019 Award has been introduced on the observance of 58th Teachers’ Day, 2019.
4 Mahatma Gandhi Award, 2019 Mahatma Gandhi Award, 2019 Award  has been introduced on the observance of Gandhi Janma Jayanti, 2019.
5 Super 30 School Education Department, Government of Tripura has launched a new scheme namely ‘Super 30’ for class X (Madhyamik) passed out students w.e.f. academic session 2020-21 onwards. Top 30 (thirty) Madhyamik passed out students of TBSE have been selected maintaining State reservation quota for availing coaching facilities for JEE/NEET Entrance Examination from the reputed & established Coaching Institutions located out-side the state with financial assistance for coaching and accommodation.
6 New proposal for Bengali to English Medium
  1. 1. New proposal for conversion of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial H.S School, College tilla, Agartala, West Tripura from Bengali to English Medium has been submitted
  2. 2. New proposal  for conversion of Belonia Vidyapith H.S School, Belonia, South Tripura from Bengali to English Medium has been submitted.
  3. 3. New proposal  for conversion of Sakhicharan Vidyaniketan Class-XII School, Agartala, West Tripura from Bengali to English Medium has been submitted.
  4. 4. New proposal  for conversion of Prachya Bharathi H.S School, West Tripura from Bengali to English Medium has been submitted.
7 Contraction of new school building Contraction of new school building in Saradamayee Vidyapith, Teliamura, Khowai Tripura will be started soon after receiving the fund.
8 School of Excellence 100 Madhyamik  passed students will be selected for admission in Class XI Science stream  at Agartala every year and they will be given coaching for JEE/NEET Examination  in collaboration with Dakshana foundation Pune. Separate hostels for Boys and Girls will be established in the SCERT complex for the lodging of the students. They will be given free lodging, food, books, study materials, coaching etc free of cost.
9 Project Monitoring Unit Education department started this project to improve the overall quality of education in School and Higher Education and has engaged PWC, Kolkata.
10 Chief Minister’s Annual Award for Academic Excellence to School Students

For appreciation and recognition of meritorious students passed Higher Secondary (Class-XII) and Madhyamik Examination under Tripura Board of Secondary Education had been introduced during 2018-19 by the School Education Department, Govt. of Tripura.

In recognition of the overall academic excellence and to motivate the students, an apple branded iPad with WiFi connectivity facility is given to each of the top five scoring students of the Board, top 5 scoring girls students, ST students, SC Students, religious minority and top scoring Divyang Student of Higher Secondary (Class-XII) and Madhyamik Examination and top scoring students in each subject in the higher Secondary Examination under TBSE every year.

11 Encouraging Science & Technology in the Education System Science and Mathematics Kits are being provided every year to the Govt. Schools for Elementary and Secondary level.
12 Tinkering Laboratory Tinkering Laboratory is being setup in 10 Schools. This year Tinkering Laboratory shall be setup in 37 more schools under Samagra Shiksha. Tinkering Laboratory is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode, activities; and learn innovation skills. They will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). ATL contains educational and learning ‘do it yourself’ kits and equipment on – science, electronics, robotics, open source microcontroller boards, sensors and 3D printers and computers.
13 Chief Minister’s Meritorious Award The Hon’ble Chief minister of Tripura announced in his Speech on Independence Day-2019, That the state Government would award 3(three) top performing Children of Police and TSR personnel of the rank of Head Constable, Havilder, Constable, Rifleman and equivalent posts in H.S (+2 Stage) Examination, one from Science, one from Commerce, one from arts stream in the state level in Madhyamik Examination conducted by TBSE, CBSE & ICSE Board. Similarly, 2(two) top performing children one from Science & Commerce and one from Arts Stream in H.S (+ 2 Stage) Examination in the District level will be awarded. Further 2 (two) top performing children 1st Rank & 2nd Rank from District level in Madhyamik Examination will also be awarded. The proposed requirement of fund is Rs. 4,07,000/- for the aforesaid awards. District Education Officers are instructed to take necessary action in this regard and payment process will be started after getting Fund from Finance Department, Tripura.
14 Supply of Bi-Cycle to all girl students reading in Class IX From 2018-19 Government of Tripura has newly approved the scheme ‘Supply of Bi-Cycle’ among all girls students reading in Class IX in Govt & Govt Aided School irrespective of any income bar and accordingly during 2018-19 & 2019-20 all the Girls’ student reading in class IX were distributed Bi-cycle.
15 ICT In order to provide computers and accessories to Government Schools and to teach students about the basics of computer and enable them to use it for education purpose along with capacity building of the teachers in the use of ICT enabled teaching learning methods, Information and Communication Technology i.e ‘ICT in School’ project has been introduced in 365 selected Govt. schools of the State. The project will be implemented from the next academic year i.e 2021-22.
